| Bill's Theme |
[13 Aug 2008|12:31pm] |
I... I'm not sure what to say. Bad Science is a blog about what it sounds. With various posts about pseudoscience, especially as portrayed by the main-stream media.
Today there's a post about a gadget that claims to analyse your body for illnesses and all things bad, and at the bottom there's a video of the machine's inventor singing (yes, singing) Bill's Theme. A song about his branch of "medicine".
Go there. Read. See the video. Hear the song.

Crazy times. I've used most of the day moving my stuff from my old student dwelling and to my new apartment. The new place is currently a mess with cardboard boxes everywhere, and I'm too tired to do anything about it. My fridge has Coke, some candy, and a few slices of sausage in it. My feet ache. Shelves have been assembled, and the TV has been set up. Need to put up curtains. And put sheets on the bed.
Pictures coming up as soon as this place looks like a human being actually lives here.

The major labels wanted to kill the single. Instead they killed the album. The association wanted to kill Napster. Instead it killed the compact disc. And today it’s not just record stores that are in trouble, but the labels themselves, now belatedly embracing the Internet revolution without having quite figured out how to make it pay.

I always did wonder how Greenland got its name. Also, the thing about projects? So very true.

| Kidman hurt during 'zombie' crash |
[26 Jan 2007|01:32pm] |
From BBC:
Kidman's publicist, Catherine Olim, said the star was trying to shake zombies off the bonnet of her Jaguar when the car spun off the road. If only it was true...

| Upgrading the MUSH |
[08 Dec 2006|02:40pm] |
Today I took down the whole machine to do an OS upgrade. I don't think there was any activity when I shut it down, only a few idlers. It is now up, and upraded to Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) server edition.
The MUSH seems to be running as normal, but if there's any trouble please give me a poke.

There might be disruption in the network to the MUSH on Sunday between 12:00 and 13:00 CET (that's UTC+1). There is going to be some upgrades on the academic network done and they are unsure if the backup route will work properly. Probably there will be no trouble at all (the MUSH isn't exactly high traffic, compared to video downloads and such), but this is just informing you so you know in case of trouble.
